Rooted in Damascus. Built to evolve.

The Al-Challah family's commercial story began more than 150 years ago in the markets of Damascus. From trade, the family expanded into agriculture and, during the 1930s, pioneered modern food manufacturing in Syria—establishing the country's first canned-food factory and developing an integrated agricultural value chain from cultivation to processing and export.

Across periods of nationalisation, economic disruption and regional change, each generation adapted and rebuilt while preserving the principles on which the family's reputation was founded: trust, quality, resilience and responsibility.

Established in 2008 by Bisher and Khaled Challah, representing the family's fourth generation, Challah Enterprises is the modern continuation of that legacy—combining entrepreneurial ambition with disciplined stewardship and a long-term perspective.
